Welcome to Year 4
Welcome to Class 4.
Thank you for visiting our page.
We are a quiet, hardworking and caring class. We love to celebrate the achievements of all members of our class and always support each other.
Miss Dunn is our teacher and Mr Storey and Mrs Herbert are our teaching assistants.
Please scroll down to find out what we have been learning about.
Class 4 PE lessons will take place on Tuesday mornings. Children will be expected to come to school dressed in full PE kit. They will also need to bring their full school uniform to get changed in to after PE, for their afternoon lessons.
During the Summer term, Class 4 will be taking part in wheelchair basketball sessions with Lee and Brian on Thursday mornings. They will need to come to school in PE kits and bring their school uniforms to change in to for their afternoon lessons.
Spellings are given out each Monday to be learnt for a test on Friday. Each week the children will learn a different spelling rule and will be given some spellings to learn which follow that rule. They will also be expected to find and learn other words which follow the rule as they will be tested on some ‘unseen’ spellings each week.
English homework is given out each Wednesday to be completed and handed in by Monday morning. This can be completed and handed in earlier.
Maths homework (online) is set every Friday to be completed before Monday morning. Children have their log in details for this inside both their homework books and spelling books.

Passport to Europe
We have been exploring different countries in Europe by learning about their traditions and cultures, using maps and atlases and creating our own adventure stories.
During this topic we were lucky enough to have two special visitors, Mr and Mrs Taranu, who taught us all about life in Romania.
Water, Water everywhere!
Class 4 carried out a SOLE lesson to try to find out what had happened to the disappearing water in Miss Dunn’s water bottle. We found out a lot about different states of matter as well as beginning to understand evaporation and condensation.
