Chaplaincy Team

Our Chaplaincy Team is made up of  seven Year 6 pupils, including two children who worked with the Mini Vinnies in the previous year. The Chaplaincy team work alongside Mrs Blakey, our RE Lead, to support to Catholic Life of St. Michael’s School.

Faith in Action

Through this role, the children will be earning credits for the Faith in Action Award (through CYMFed).

The Faith in Action Award encourages young people through recognising, rewarding and celebrating their active faith lived out through service and reflection. The Award helps them connect their life and faith in a tangible manner.

In journeying through the Award, young people should experience a deepening of their relationship with God and find themselves exploring that relationship. It is hoped that through their relationship and action, others will see God’s love through them.

Pin Award

Our seven children will be working towards the Pin Award throughout this year.

Pin Level is for young people of Year 6 age (10/11). It is designed to allow young people to discover how faith shapes lives, thus acting as a stepping stone to the higher award levels. Having taken early steps in establishing a personal relationship with God, participants begin to see that this relationship has an outward and visible effect upon them and those around them. As they seek to know God better they become aware that others, of all ages, are trying to do the same. This draws us together in community. Seeking to serve the community helps us discover even more about ourselves, each other and God.
