Mr Storey and a group of year 5 and year 6 pupils will be meeting regularly to share ideas for sport in school and different ways we can help other children stay active whilst outside.
As well as having access to the new Climbing frame trim trail and football goal the children will be able to join in with some fun games led by the sports leaders with the help of Mr Storey during luchtimes.
In order to help them with this, in October this year the sports leaders took part in a morning session with Miss Bonner from KidzRFit to learn some fun playground games they can teach to the children outside each week. This was a fun and engaging session which included some classic playground games as well as working on fundamental skills such as throwing, catching and target games.
Below are some photos to show some of the games they were shown:
Sports leaders are allowed to access the PE cupboard under supervision of an adult to get whatever equipment they need and are also responsible for putting away the equipment at the end of their session.
If you have any ideas for the sports leaders pop along to see them – you should spot them with their special sports leader bibs, or you can check below or by looking at the sports leaders board in the corridor to see who is on duty that day!
